At Parkdean Resorts we always do our utmost to look after our valued owners and their holiday homes. Under the terms of the Pitch Licence Agreement, all owners are required to have third party liability insurance for their holiday home. Insurance should not only be seen as complying with the agreement, but also providing you with the peace of mind to enjoy your holiday home.
It is important that your holiday home is insured and it is a condition of our letting schemes that it is. If your holiday home becomes uninsured or we do not have evidence of your insurance we will move bookings from your holiday home and remove it from the relevant letting scheme. Further information is set out in the terms and conditions of the letting schemes.
Should you be eligible to join one of our letting schemes and hire out your holiday home it is a good idea to check that your insurance provides cover for loss or damage by a hirer while others are using your holiday home. If you insure your holiday home through the insurance scheme offered by Parkdean Resorts we are able to provide you with such cover as part of your policy.
The insurance scheme offered by Parkdean Resorts includes cover for loss or damage caused by deliberate acts by a hirer subject to: • An excess of £350 per claim. • The booking having been made via Parkdean Resorts and having a verifiable Parkdean Resorts booking reference number.
The scheme also provides cover for accidental damage, subject to a £50 excess. You can obtain a copy of the policy document for the insurance scheme, which provides full details of the cover, from the Owner/Guest Experience Manager. Owners are able to make arrangements for their own insurance should they wish.
Full details of your insurance cover can be found in the schedule of insurance, a copy of which is available on request. We fully understand that some people find insurance somewhat confusing so you may find the following useful.
Can I arrange cover for ‘loss or damage by a hirer’ through Parkdean Resorts if I am not insured by the insurance scheme?Unfortunately, no you cannot. This cover is only part of the insurance scheme and has been specifically negotiated for Parkdean Resorts.
What is the cost? The cover for loss or damage by a hirer is included in your premium at no extra cost if you arrange cover through Parkdean Resorts.
What is the excess? The Parkdean Resorts insurance scheme has a general policy excess of £50 per claim. Claims for malicious damage by a hirer carry an excess of £350 per claim.
We hope we have provided all the details you require regarding insurance. However, if you are unsure or have any further questions, please speak with the team on your park.
