A Great Day Out for Everyone!
From April 5th to September 21st, Brightlingsea Harbour runs a daily foot ferry service across the river Colne connecting Brightlingsea, East Mersea and Point Clear.
On East Mersea, explore Cudmore Grove Country Park, a nature reserve with a unique coastal landscape and a coastal themed play area. Alternatively, take a scenic walk to the Dog and Pheasant, Mersea Barns, or Mersea Island Vineyard and Brewery.
If you're staying on Mersea Island, hop on the ferry to Brightlingsea! Discover its Blue Flag beach, the Lido, sea wall strolls, a local museum, and a variety of delightful eateries and high street shops.
